SOCIAL STUDIES: ERAS 1- 10 CONTENT AND VOCABULARY EMPHASIS

Unit based sessions: Each professional development session is based on an upcoming unit. Teachers will experience units as learners in order to anticipate student misconceptions and challenges and make decisions about modifying resources. Follow up observations and walk-throughs also available to help teachers with instructional needs.

SOCIAL STUDIES: DESIGNED APPROACH TO CURRICULUM

Learn how to strengthen your curriculum with purposeful planned guidance. Teachers will examine the STAAR, dig for patterns in data and design instruction to address gaps. The curriculum development training is based on understanding your content and curriculum. Teachers will be able to make the necessary adjustments or modifications – when necessary – to ensure alignment that helps close instructional or academic performance gaps.
