Creating and Implementing Science Supplemental Aids in Texas Education
This professional development workshop focuses on equipping educators with the tools and strategies to create and implement effective science supplemental aids aligned with TEA Science standards. Participants will explore integrating TEA-set rules and regulations to create and implement Supplemental Aids. Through collaborative activities, hands-on experiences, and expert-led sessions, educators will learn how to enhance student understanding and engagement in science.
Workshop Objectives
Understand the foundational principles of SEPs, RTCs, and TEKS in the context of science education.
Develop supplemental aids that support diverse learning needs and promote inquiry-based learning through the 5E model or explicit direct instruction.
Implement strategies for integrating supplemental aids into existing curricula effectively.
